Now we know his whereabout…hehehe
CAPE CANAVERAL, 3 Aug. – Islamic devationist leader from the eastern state of Malaysia, Ariffin Mohamad, a.k.a. Ayah Pin escaped the Malaysian police with the blast of the US space shuttle Discovery here today.
The shuttle, carrying the most sought after deviationist with seven other crew members, soared into slightly hazy skies, the roar of its solid booster rockets rattling windows and shaking the ground across the Cape.
Nasa lauch director, Mike Leinbach told the newsmen that the decision to include 65-year-old Ayah Pin was made very recently as to ensure the success of the mission.
Yesterday’s mission was the Nasa’s first since the Columbia disaster in 2003, and the man from sleepy hollow town called Besut in Terengganu is said to be a critical factor for success.
“Ayah Pin is so special to us that he knows everything out there in the space, like everything is at the back of his hand. Even Nasa’s most sophisticated technology cannot come anywhere near to his knowlegde on the sky kingdom,” Leinbach explained.
With Ayah Pin on board, the astronouts are expected to find the US$1 billion mission easy as the Malaysian would be able to tell them what to do once the shuttle reaches beyond the final frontier.
“Ayah Pin will do all the communications out there with his contacts all over the sky kingdom,” he said, adding that this mission will be a breakthrough where communication with space creatures is concerned.
“He told us that he is very much familiar with the outerspace, which is his second home,” said Leinbach.
It is very unfortunate that Ayah Pin’s four wives could not board the shuttle due to space constraints. The four, however, were seen doing some shopping at the Walmart supermarket in the Cape hours before their husband departure.
With the Nasa’s announcement, the mystery of Ayah Pin’s whereabout came to an end. The Malaysian police is expected to give up their hunt for Ayah Pin, as Malaysia has yet to own a similar space shuttle to chase the Discovery.
Nevertheless, Ayah Pin’s departure to the space via Discovery once again prove the spirit of Malaysia Boleh! (Malaysia Can Do It).
P.S. If you wish to contact Ayah Pin via the NASA ground control you can e-mail to AP_Free@Last.skyking.dom
If you are one of those thousand licensed ham radio operator or perhaps a SWL (short-wave listener), tuning up your rig to a specific frequency is an addictive treat. Be it at home base, mobile (in vehicle) or portable (carrying your rig to wherever you go), your hand will be itching to tune to your favourite frequency. I’m no exception. Since my rig been installed couple of weeks ago, my default radio (yes, that FM tuner radio with CD & cassette) is idle for quite sometimes. My rig is so viral. I just can’t stop switch it on once i got into my ride.
Having said that, i’m usually into frequency-scanning (Yes, listening to a frequency for a moment before switching to the other). After less than a month of listening & utilizing the amateur band, i can sense some ‘funny’ pattern of the stations. They usually using some common words & phrases in their communications, which i think, not necessary. BTW, i can understand their feeling. Talking with a PTT mic, where you know a whole lot of people are listening to you is quite challenging. You have a tendency of losing words quite number of time. So in covering up the conversation, the stations is using several word which u can listen to it tonnes of time during the conversation. I can roughly estimate that, the words are use at around 5-10 times in every 10 minutes. The word are as below (usually being use by Malay stations):
* …Itu macam cerita…
* …Macam itu….
* …Begitu diinfo…
Can’t believe me? You can experienced it by yourself. Turn on you rig, tune to 145.650 Mhz. This is 9M4RKW, a repeater-based communication. You can listen to the words that i mentioned above tonnes of time.
No offense to anybody. I just love to observe patterns in live.

I bought this book for quite sometimes. Unfortunately i haven’t started reading it yet. Too bad, it collecting dust on my table top. I’m challenging myself this month. By month-end, i will finish reading it up. Or else, i won’t buy any book on september. I know i can find ‘gems’ inside this book. Me need an insight of my life, this book will be good as a starter. I read Covey’s previous Mega-hit book, 7 habits of highly effective people years ago. Unfortunately, i don’t preach what he wrote. Duh!
This book cost me 15% less than usual price of RM89.90 during sales in one of the bookstore. I love book sales. Go get your copy.
