The company that i’ve been working for almost 5 years is having a Family Day last weekend. It’s a fun as well as tiring one. I’ve never thought it will be very fun, but it is! Full of laughter, everyone is so sporting which makes the event more memorable. There are number of events that i involve, such as Tug of War, Treasure Hunt and Paintball. It so tiring, yup hell tiring.

I never thought that i’ll be bumped into our international subsidiaries representatives from Saudi Arabia & Indonesia. Their hospitality towards local personnel is really good. Very approachable and sometimes their jokes are unpredictable lot.

BTW, this Family Day is most memorable to me because of one thing. I’m the champion of 2 very challenging event. It is the Treasure Hunt & Paintball. In treasure hunt, i was in the same group with Razak, Jeme & Faizal. The team named as Relic Hunter. Hah! At first, i’m skeptic if i can manage to finish the event. This is due to the pain that i need to bear with my both feet as well as the energy level which almost at the bottom. Nevertheless, we managed to win it by huge margin. During the final checkpoint, our team arrived second to team Kelantan. Pity them, eventhough they arrive early, they left out one of the clue in checkpoint-5. To seme, better luck next time. We rule the event this time..haha. The price is voucher worth RM 240. It will be splitted to 4. RM 60 for me.

Next thing is Paintball. To tell the truth, this is the first time i played this game. It is very interesting, fun, challenging & tactical-oriented. 40 personnel are registered for this event. We are divided into 4 group, which i lead Team-1. My, it’s kinda challenging, eventhough it only a game. My goal is to win, no mercy to any other team, haha.

Our team starts the first round. After coordinating the strategy, we went into the ‘box’ waiting for the starting-horn to blare. Once the horn blared, i blazed throught to the middle bunker to capture that yellow flag. The opponent team looks confused! They couldn’t believe their eyes. Haha.. Our strategy works! Hay managed to capture a flag, too. Unfortunately, he being shot on the way back the the ‘box’. Hah! We won this round. Now, we are eagerly waiting who will be our next ‘lunch’ for the final round.

During the final round, organizer decided to change the format. Instead of 3 flags on the previous round, 4 flag were positioned on the middle bunker for us to capture. My brain running full speed on the strategy that we need to use. Once sharing the strategy will fellow team members and brief their role during the ‘fight’, we entered the warzone again. I’m really confident that we can win this time. Once the war started, we follow the strategy accordingly. It is near to perfect i can say. I was shot twice by i don’t know who. Went back to ‘reset’ myself and join the war back. I’m at the third layer bunker, pointing my gun to the middle bunker where 2 flags lies. At one time, ABE from the opposition, running and hiding behind it. It is my pleasure he did that as i shot him at least 5 times at the point blank range. Haha. Best luck next time. He went and reset himself at the back and join back the war later. It is the very brave attempt by Hay & David that give us the victory. This two guys running to the middle bunker while dodging bullets, grab the flag and run back to the reset box. They managed to capture the flag without being shot by a single bullet. Haha. I’m thinking that, the opposition might running out of bullet as i do..hehe.

Once the war is declared over, i went to congratulate every of my team member. What a team.
The image-trail during the war with ABE’s team is still on top of my head. I shot him at the middle bunker like there is no tomorrow. Pity, we didn’t bring the company’s camcorder. Or else, we can play the video over and over again. To them, better luck next time eh. All in all, personally i won 2 out of 3 events that i participated. I lost in Tug-Of-War event, but heck, if i won every event, they will envy me until end of days…hahaha..
