Make friends, envious lot & fitness slump

Yesterday, while driving back from my SpeedReading class in Brickfield, i saw a car with callsign 9W2AZL on the boot. At first i was thinking that the driver will never see my callsign on my vios’ rear glass. I was wrong! After i overtook that car and slowing down my car since the toll booth is less than 100m, that car speed toward my left try to get my attention. The driver signaled me to switch to V40, which i did once i paid the toll. We managed to QSO for at least 10 minutes before the signal fade away due to the distance factor and the antenna that i use (1/4 lambda wave is bad for simplex). :(

Once we QSY to RKK, we continued with our conversation. 9W2AZL is Azli, a nice guy, as usual ham operator is. :) (Ham Radio Operator are usually friendly & helpful). As usual, during conversation, we managed to know each other saltmine place/area, eventhough it is not specifically mentioned of the premise. Not a problem to me. We went for QRT when AZL have reached his Home-Q. I was in my jalopy at that moment. That is the problem with ham operator. When we are deeply involve in a certain conversation with fellow friends, we can hardly put the PTT to rest, hahaha. It reminds me on my first encounter with Internet way back in 1995.

At night, i felt a bit knackered for unknown reason. It must be the weather or i’m not getting enough sleep last night.

So, what do i got/do during the 48th Independent day of Malaysia? Here goes:

1- Learnt on SpeedReading method. A long way to go before i master it.
2- Met 9W2AZL on air, where we met on the highway minute before that.
3-Make new friends in the SpeedReading class. One of it is a Certified NLP Practitioner.

It think that’s all that i can recall. Duh!

Did i tell you that i managed to clocked 16 minutes for 2.4km of distance? Duh! My fitness is degrading. I need to do better than that. The benchmark is 12 minutes flat for 2.4km. A long way to go….

  1. Interesting blog post. What would you say was the most important factor in using NLP?
