From Dubai wif luv
Posted in Daily Distortion on October 3rd, 2005 by kimi – 2 CommentsThis is a brutal truth. I really luv Dubai. If not with all my heart, at least 75% of it. This city really makes me fell like home.
Dubai, a well developed city, multi-racial (dominated mostly by arab & indian), clean & tidy street & the food is just awesome.
One complaint that i have is the weather. 36-42 degree flat, humidity at 26%. It really makes my uneasy, sweating like there is no tomorrow. Nevertheless, Dubai will be my destination of backpacking trip in the future. Or perhaps, a shopping destination.
Just imagine, silk clothes is 75% cheaper than what we can get in Malaysia. U can get custom-tailored swiss cotton shirt for less than RM 90. For pants, a garbadine wool cost less than RM160. So tell me, can you get it from our beloved country?
. Not to undermine my own country, what i’m trying to say is that what you can get when u live in a tax-free country. Most of the stuffs are dirt-cheap (if this word is not too harsh), everyone can afford it without thinking twice.
Enuff with the short rambling. Now, lets have a look, some shots taken during my stay. Selective photos only. Here goes…
