Good to be back

Posted in Daily Distortion on September 28th, 2006 by kimi – 2 Comments

After 70 days living in the acrid land, i’m back to my home soil. Yup, Emirates schedule was flawless, eventhough i’m a bit restless on the flight.

It was a HUGE suprise to all my friends and family. No one knew that i’m heading back home on the 26th, not even my wife. :D . My plan went well. When i got back to my in-law’s home, my wife stunned for quite a moment. She is confused whether it was really me, or the ghost of me. In the office, i managed to shock them as well. A good friend of mine was confused as well. They greet me as i was away from years.

It’s good to be back.

Its time…

At last, the time has arrived again. I’ll be leaving this country for a while. I’ll be back indeed, eventhough it might not happen in an instant. Life is quite challenging as far as being husband is concerned. Have to leave my pregnant wife at home and let her handle life chores are not a wise move to begin with. However, life is about choice, and sometime you can’t make that choice preferable to you no matter what. You need to tread life as carefully as you can. So am i. This is the choice i have to deal with. No issue.

This year, Ramadhan arrives in a different way. This is the first Ramadhan of mine being a husband. I felt so elated and euphoric. However, the first day of Ramadhan is a despair and hollow experience. I was thousand miles away from home and my wife, and enduring an uncharacteristic humidity and heat here. Everything felt so bland, and the environment is monotonous. I sorely miss her and home. At this point of writing, my wife is pregnant with our baby for 27 weeks. Not everyone can endure to be apart during this memorable period, but we are different. As our baby grows, we are ‘separated’ and living in a different timezone. She did all the best to contain all the pressure. Sometimes, pressure really taking a toll on her. Well, she just a human. While in another side of the world, i do constantly prayed to God, as to grant both of them an excellent health as well as superior security and tenacity.
That will the thing of the past. I’ll be back very soon. To this country, thanks for the memories, experiences and the food. Everyday is a learning day for me, despite some unpleasant incidents did occur. It is part of this life of mine…

Emirates, fly me back home!

* first day of ramadhan ‘break fast’ dishes. A pack of Chicken ‘Mandi’, a plate of Khunafa, variety of local pastries and sweets, fruits (thats banana is Nazri’s, not mine), some ajwa dates, sambal kicap and tempe (where the hell did they managed to find tempe here? I’m dumbfounded!), Ayam masak kicap, as well as bottles of milk, fresh orange and mango juice. This is just a beginning. There are plenty more in the kitchen! Well, this is not for me alone. It’s for four of us and some visitors who jumped in after Terawikh*

6th

Today, the time has arrived again. It’s the 6th anniversary of the company where i am working with. I’ve spent my time with the company as much.

There are nothing much i can say about the company since it has been in the limelight for the last couple of months. Go google it and you will definitely find something.

There are plenty of achievements that the company can be proud of. Business is expanding to Middle East. Opportunities are lying ahead. Personnel are getting busier everyday. From nobody in the business world, now it turns to be a mesdaq-bound company.

In 6 years, there are so many achievements worth mentioned. 6 years is not a short period of time. While 70% of startup company failed in the first 3 years of business, this company has strive and moving forward relentlessly in the vicious cycle of business world.

Happy 6th Anniversary to the company and to the Co-Founders too. May this year to thereafter will bring a bright future to the company.
