The garbage identified during Pre-Hari Raya cleaning at my family’s home. It worth thousands of Ringgit if i were to sell it at same price when i bought it.

To my families, friends and whoever knows me in one way or another, i would like to wish all of them Selamat Hari Raya & Maaf Zahir Batin. May this Hari Raya be the best one that you have ever had. Safe driving, pigging out appropriately and be back in one piece.

InsyaAllah, this will be the last raya for my wife and i celebrating by only two of us. Come 2007, the environment will be cherished by a ‘newcomer’ in our live. He will bring much happiness to my family.

My last ‘Badak Berendam’ for Ramadhan 1427. I bought this from Kelana Jaya’s Pasar Ramadhan. It also the last set the stall have to offer. Talking about coincident.

Today is the last day of Ramadhan, 1427. Most of the people around are busy preparing for tomorrow’s biggest day which is the Aidilfitri. My mum is currently handling her chore in the kitchen. The aroma of ‘Rendang’ is making me crazy and turn me hungry even more. My youngest brother is taking his sweet time, sleeping big time on the sofa.

This year’s ramadhan leave me at a blazing speed. I spent 4 days of it in Middle East and rest at back home. While last year, i had a luxury of choosing the mosque i would like to perform my prayer at, this year it doesn’t goes that way. I got an ‘extended’ responsibility of picking up my wife at her office and spend our time together for ‘breaking fast’. Usually when we reached home, Terawikh prayer usually finished. So i have to perform it all by my own.

In this Ramadhan, i managed to get my hand to my favourite delicacies of all time. Malaysian called it ‘Badak Berendam’ (pic) . Don’t asked me how the name came by, i’m no better in its history. That aside, this delicacy is not easy to find. I have to hop from one ‘Pasar Ramadhan’ to another to buy it. It cost RM1.00 for 3 pieces of ‘Badak’ dipped in sweet ’broth’. On a very hungry day, i can whopped all 3 ‘Badak’ in one go. But now, 2 pieces will create my trouble to my stomach.

About the ingredient, let the Pasar Ramadhan stall owner to worrying about it. The important thing for me is the Badak must be thick and chewable, and the broth must be sweet that can rot my tooth. For another 12 months from now, i have refrain myself of thinking about this delicacy. Or else, it will make myself crazy.

So long Ramadhan 1427. You shall be missed.

This is how bad is the weather in KL this afternoon. There was a heavy downpour struck in heart of the city center rendered the traffic at a standstill. At least few thousand commuters were stuck on the main road. Me included. As i heading to Bukit Bintang via Jalan Stonor, the traffic was so bad, i managed to move few meters in the duration of 30 minutes! Then i decided to make a turn back to the office, so that i can catch my ‘break-fast’ in time. The journey is worse still, if not more. It took me 20 minutes to reach office where in the normal hour it will that less than 7 minutes flat to do so.

Back in the office, i had a major problem too. The convenient store on the ground floor was close few minutes earlier. And i have nothing to eat or drink. As i head to my office, i scoured all the place around and i managed to find a huge hamper was sitting quitely under my desk. I tore the wrapper a part and took out some drinks, biscuits and couple of nuts. That’s what i had today for ‘break-fast’. It’s better than nada.

As i writing this, i’m still monitoring from my office window. It doesn’t look good. Not for the next 2 hours. My stomach is grumbling. It needs more food than this. I hope my wife had her dinner too.

This photo was taken during 2004 Aidilfitri. She was an energetic grandma despite having to endure with her asthma. On her daily routine, she had to take care 2 of her twin grandsons and 2 granddaughters while their parent is away working. Since 2004, her health is flailing due to the age, as well as other health problems.

2006 Aidilfitri will not be the same for my entire family. On the 13th Ramadhan 1427 equivalent to 6 September 2006, she left us forever. She left us at the age of 78. A day before, she struck with a chronic asthmatic and having a hard time to breathe properly. In that after afternoon, she was admitted to nearby hospital for an immediate treatment. As were predicted, she was warded and her asthmatic was closely monitored. She was put under life-support system in order to make sure she can breath easily. That afternoon everything looks to get better on her. But, at night it was appear to be contrary.

Today is the DAY. I can’t express how happy am i today. After waiting for 6 lengthy-enduring-tired years, the day has come. It’s rewarding. It’s so soothing. Nothing beat this feeling.

I’m terribly happy!
