As if he knows that my parent’s attention have been diverted to my son, Tam launched a strike since last week. He is acting lazy, lifeless, walking slowly and sleeping in variable positions just to caught our attention. Well, nice try. U just lost your privileges to Zeyad. :D

On that day, it was exactly the 19th month i’m using her. On that day too, never that i know that she will be injured in such way. Last wednesday, i was dropping by in Amcorp Mall to pick up some back issue of scuba diving mags which i’ve booked few weeks back. Once i got hold with the mags, i exited the building ASAP. After paying the parking ticket, i head to the main road. The traffic light is red at the junction and i stop my car before the light turns back to green. In the midst of waiting and enjoying myself with the afternoon tune from Hot.FM, i received a strong-rushing impact from the back of my car. It was so quick and i can’t remember a damn thing. What i did realize after the impact was, my car hitting the car in front, my right foot was stuck between the gas & brake pedal and my engine is REVVING up to 7000RPM! Few second after that i realized, i had a car accident.

I got off from my car and i saw the blue kancil in front of my car suffering a fractured rear bumper while my front bumper hold some scratches and my plate number crushed into pieces. I went to the back of my car and i met with a horror view. My rear bumper are literally dented, the left & right side of it are peeled off from the usual position. The worst is, my bonnet are stuck! I can’t open it at all! All this nuisance are created by a Kenari! I just can’t believe it. The Kenari got a fair share of damages too. She lost both of the fog lamps and the hood are almost folded into two.

After a while, the Kenari’s driver came out from the car. She told me that, the Kenari’s braking system had a sudden malfunction, render her not being able to stop the car at all. As the result, my car was selected as the ‘stop point’. At the same time, the kancil driver approach me mentioning about his situation. After short discussion, we head to the police station near by. All of us place our police report regarding to the accident. After meeting up the officer, the Kenari driver was charged of negligence. She was summoned RM300.

After settling all the chore, I drove back my car home with a seething anger. I’m wondering how on earth you still get hit by other car while you are very careful driving yours. When i calm myself down, it dawn on me that this will happen no wonder how careful you are. I’m grateful too that i was alone in the car. Never can i imagine if my wife and the ‘greatest gift’ were there with me. The case would be totally different. Furthermore, I’m so lucky that i’m not injured during the impact. I suppose it must be the strong structure my car body has and the way it absorb the momentum inertia. To add more, my attitude of engaging the gear into ‘N’ position as well as not putting the hand-brake on do count. Or else, i might be paralyzed by now since most of the inertia energy might be transfered directly to my spine and neck. Nauzubillah!

As of today, my car is ‘resting’ in one of the Toyota Service Center in Shah Alam. For the next couple of days, i’ll be crippled, well not literally. I don’t have any car to be my transport. That would be a chore for me to deal with.

Some evidents of how my car look like after the accident.
