Today we are one. It’s our first year of wedding anniversary. Last year, there is only both of us. This year, we are three. The greatest gift arrived 9 days earlier. My life can’t be better than this. This year, we don’t really celebrate it. It due to the fact that my wife just gave birth to the greatest gift. We will have the celebration later. What we have is the mini version of it. I bought a cake from Secret Recipe, Taipan and couple of sodas. It might be simple, nevertheless it was a memorable one.

To my wife & son, I love both of you so much. U are the best thing that i’ve ever have.

Pasta Mania

from left to right: the starter – wholemeal & white bread with small plate of virgin olive oil as it dip; Caesar salad; bottomless ice lemon tea; classic carbonara; shrimp aglio (All images are taken with Nokia E70)

My wife & i went to One Utama last monday. She is doing the last window-shopping before a long ‘lay-off’ in the next day or two. I’m not in the mood of shopping due to the fever. My tonsilitis doesn’t show any indication of recovery. To swallow a meal is a struggle to me since both of my tonsils are affected.

In OU, i know for sure that my wife will ask for pasta for her dinner. The excuse was; “the last pasta meal before giving birth to our first child”. Oh well, what can i say. I nodded agreeably.

We walk to Itali@nne$, located at the level 1 of the shopping center. We have to wait for couple of minutes before the waiter head us to our table.

The restaurant’s ambience environment and its background music is 5 stars. Cleanliness and its staffs’ friendliness is something to talk about. The menu covers spread of mouth-watering dishes and desserts. We are spoilt for choice! I have to flip through the menu over and over again before deciding on what should i have that night.

So at the end, i ordered myself a Classic Carbonara and bottomless ice-lemon tea. 5 minutes later (as usual women, hehe), she ordered a plate of Shrimp Aglio, Caesar Salad and a bottomless ice-lemon tea.

When the meals arrive, we just can’t wait anymore. My stomach has been grumbling for quite sometime. We starts with the caesar salad. This salad is nothing worth mentioning. I prefer such salad in CPK, KLCC evenmore. So, i don’t really want to talk about it. How about the main course?

I must say that, the carbonara taste amazing. Eventhough i’m suffering a tonsilitis, i still can taste the thick cream in it. I like the pasta as well, it is so thick and juicy, make me full in an instant. I ‘robbed’ my wife’s shrimp aglio too. The taste is stupendous. The shrimps are big & fresh, cooked nicely with the pasta. You can feel the shrimp taste in the pasta itself! All these are washed with the not-so-sweet ice lemon tea. It is a bottomless type, so i get to refill as much that i want. I got mine refilled not less than 4 times that night.

So talking about these ‘luxury’ food, what is the damage look like? Here goes:

2x Ice Lemon Tea – 13.60

1 Caesar Salad – 12.90

1 Classic Carbonara – 18.90

1 Shrimp Aglio – 25.90

Subtotal – 71.30

5% Govt Tax – 3.57

10% Svc Chg – 7.10

TOTAL – 82.00

Not bad i suppose. I can splurge this amount of money on food once a month. Every fortnightly? No thanks!

:D
